Dear DERMIS friend: inside
Focus on Skin Health – Early Detection Can Save Lives.
In Switzerland, skin cancer—and melanoma in particular—is among the most common forms of cancer in Europe. Each year, approximately 20,000 to 25,000 people are diagnosed with non-melanoma skin cancer, and about 3,200 with melanoma—the most aggressive form. It is particularly important to note that many people with this condition are under 50 years of age at the time of diagnosis.
Take advantage of this opportunity for screening: National Skin Cancer Awareness Week will take place again in May 2026. During this period, dermatologists throughout Switzerland are offering free initial screenings for suspicious moles.
The DERMIS Skin Clinic is also participating in this important initiative. On Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., you’ll have the opportunity to have any suspicious skin changes examined by our dermatologists—at our location in Zurich’s Seefeld district. Registration is recommended. Consultation duration: 10 minutes.
Take a stand for your health. Regular checkups allow for early detection and significantly increase the chances of recovery.
We're happy to be here for you.
Cordially,
Dr. Sabine Bruckert and your Dermis team
