Medical peels

In medicine, a distinction is made between superficial, medium and deep peels, which are applied according to need and treatment goal.

Medical peels are used for

  • Rough, sallow skin to revitalise and refresh the skin
  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Pigmentation spots/melasma
  • Acne and acne scars

For optimal results, we recommend a series of 4-6 peels at intervals of 2-4 weeks for superficial peels. Medium and deep peels are applied as single treatments.

We have a large selection of different peels on offer in our practice. Let us advise you which peeling treatment is right for you and your skin.

Microneedling

Microneedling involves treating the facial skin with a derma roller or derma stamp. These are equipped with many fine and very short needles that prick the top layer of skin (epidermis). This stimulates the collagen fibres.

Microneedling is used for the treatment of wrinkles, stretch marks and scars.

Infini

Infini is a fractionated radiofrequency system that combines two treatment modalities in one platform. It involves both mechanical stimulation (microneedling) and thermal stimulation (radiofrequency). The area of application includes:

  • Skin tightening
  • Skin rejuvenation
  • Pore refinement
  • Acne scars
  • Stretch marks

Melasma

Melasma, also known as chloasma or pregnancy spots, are symmetrical brown patches that usually appear on the face and are more visible with UV exposure. The pigment can be superficial or ingrained more deeply in the skin. The deeper the pigment, the longer the treatment.

Depending on the severity, we offer a range of different peels and laser therapies, and are also happy to support you through further treatment at home.

Cryolipolysis

A slim and well-proportioned body silhouette is considered the ideal of beauty in today’s society. Cryolipolysis offers an excellent, painless and side-effect-free therapy option for localised, stubborn fat deposits that cannot be sufficiently combated despite exercise or a reduction in calorie intake. Unwanted fat deposits in areas such as the hips (so-called love handles), thighs and upper arms can be optimally treated. The coolshaping procedure is based on the scientifically proven fact that fat cells crystallise and die at comparatively higher temperatures than other body cells. With the help of an applicator, the fatty tissue is specifically cooled to approximately 4°C for about sixty minutes. This causes the cells to die and be slowly and completely naturally broken down by the body. It is important to ensure that only the fat in the subcutaneous fatty tissue can be reached, i.e. the fat that lies above the muscles, which is why a medical assessment and indication are essential.

Because the dead fat cells degrade naturally, the degradation process happens relatively slowly, but also very evenly. It takes a total of two to three months until the final result is visible and a new treatment can be performed if necessary.

Clear results are visible after just one session. In the best case, a single treatment alone can reduce an unwanted fat pad by about 30%. However, since every body reacts differently, two to three sessions per area at intervals of about twelve weeks are required in most cases in order to produce optimal results.

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a non-surgical method of aesthetic skin treatment in which the skin is nourished and hydrated by micro-injection of a cocktail of active ingredients. The effect of a mesotherapy treatment is long-lasting. The active ingredients ensure a smoother, fresher complexion and a reduction of wrinkles.

VelaShape II

Cellulite affects almost 80% of women, regardless of factors that can be influenced, such as exercise, a healthy diet and body weight. The so-called “orange peel skin” is caused by a weakness in the connective tissue, which causes the fat pads normally located in the subcutis to push upwards through the connective tissue and thus become visible. Thanks to Velashape, there is finally a solution to this problem, with the procedure combatting the unsightly dimples effectively and without side effects.

VelaShape can be used mainly for cellulite treatment (currently one of the few devices approved by the FDA and tested as effective for this indication). However, other effects are also achieved: by stimulating the metabolism and blood circulation, the skin is tightened and the body circumference is reduced (body shaping).

How does Velashape work?

Using the patented light energy method in combination with a vacuum massage, energy in the form of heat is injected into the fatty tissue, which causes the enlarged, bulging fat cells to shrink permanently and thus significantly reduces the formation of dimples. At the same time, the increase in blood circulation and lymph flow leads to regeneration and new formation of the connective tissue, which in turn prevents new dimpling. Due to the shrinking of the fat cells, the circumference of the treated area can be significantly reduced.

When are the results visible and how many treatments are necessary?

Immediately after the first treatment, you may already start to notice a slight smoothing and tightening of the treated area. To achieve lasting results in terms of cellulite and a measurable reduction in circumference, four to six treatments are necessary at intervals of one week, depending on the initial results. For maintenance therapy, treatments are recommended at six-monthly intervals. On average, a circumference reduction of about 2.5 cm can be achieved, which corresponds to about one trouser size.

Are the results permanent?

In order to obtain cosmetically lasting results, the intervals should be successively extended after the initial weekly intensive treatment. Maintenance sessions should then take place approximately every six months. Again, the combination of a balanced diet and regular exercise will help maintain your reshaped curves.
