Bruno Bloch Foundation
The charitable Bruno Bloch Foundation was established in 1935 and promotes scientific activities at the Dermatology Clinic of the University Hospital Zurich. The foundation supports research projects in the field of skin cancer and inflammatory, immunologically caused skin diseases.
Professor Bruno Bloch was the first full professor of dermatology at the University of Zurich and director of the Department of Dermatology (1916-1933). His clinical and scientific work includes numerous findings that led to important advances in the diagnosis and therapy of skin diseases.
In his honour, his wife established the Bruno Bloch Foundation in 1935 with the aim of promoting scientific activity at the Dermatological Clinic of the University Hospital Zurich.
