Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic, inflammatory skin disease.

Description

It is characterised by small to palm-sized patches of scaly skin (often on the knees, elbows and scalp), often with severe itching, and changes to the nails. Other organs (especially joints) can also be affected by psoriasis.

Psoriasis can have a major impact on the lives of those affected. Currently, there are several treatment options. Patients must always be assessed and treated based on their individual circumstances. If the psoriasis is extensive, UV light therapy has proven to be effective. The practice has state-of-the-art equipment with narrowband UVB light.

We also offer a range of cutting-edge systemic therapy options (treatments with biologics).
